Conair G16 Travel Clothes
Steamer
Conair GS16 is the smallest travel clothes steamer in the family of Conair GS. It's featured in
the middle right picture, looking like an iron.
It's no secret that with a portable clothes steamer like this you can keep all of your garments looking like new
without going through the hassle of taking them to a professional cleaners or steamer which can be very expensive
or firing up an iron and getting the ironing board out just to make a few shirts/suits look their best.
Just as you would imagine Conair GS16 is an extremely portable clothes steamer, however don't
let the size fool you: it's got a 1000 watt heater! It's almost as much as Conair GS5 steamer, which has
1200 watts, but much bigger in size.
This steamer weighs only 4 pounds which makes traveling together with it an easy
ride. If you wanted you could even easily fit it into your carry on bag, just in case you need to use it
before the luggage arrives.
One of the best things about Conair GS16 is that it has aluminum soleplate for ironing with
steam with variable temperature control. This is great because you can not only make passes along your
garments with a steamer, but also put it down on flat surface and give it a good steaming session in those
hard-to-reach spots with the aluminum plate which basically works like an iron, only without all the
hassle.
This model features dual voltage for travel, which can come in quite handy in most of the
countries where the standard American plug is not the norm.
Another thing customers are raving about is the fabric lint brush attachment found on this
model. So if you have this brush on your steamer while working your garments it will brush off all the lint
off of it with almost no effort, as steam will help to get it off easier.
This steamer runs on regular tap water, without salt. As soon as you fill it up with water
let it stand for about 5-6 minutes so the steamer can heat up the water and start producing heat.
If you wish to have a continuous flow of steam, this function can be activated by a trigger
switch.
This model can cost up to $35 when bought new and up to $25-29 when bought used. However
before buying used it's always smart to read up on what other people said about this model's reliability and
make your own decisions.
